Abstract

   Thermal cloaking has been an emerging field of engineering beginning with the seminal work of Pendry et al. on electromagnetic cloaking published in Science in 2006. Since then, the concept has been extended to other fields of physics. This book on thermal cloaking intends to provide detailed explanation of the underlying theoretical bases leading to the primary thermal cloaking results, from an engineering perspective. Also, the book presents the materials with an emphasize on the related physical phenomena and interpretation, to the extent possible. Through this book, engineering students can grasp the fundamental ideas of thermal cloaking and the associated mathematics, thereby better equipping them to initiate their own research and explore new ideas in thermal cloaking.
