摘要

隨著時代的演進及科學的進步，當人類充分享受科技所帶來生活舒適之際，環境污染卻同時成為一嚴重的問題。燃燒科技在人類文明及工業推進中，扮演著極為重要的角色，但也產生大量的空氣污染物。另外，工業製程及建築工事皆會形成空氣污染物。空氣污染可說是國家工業化中揮之不去的夢魘，因其對人體及動植物會造成嚴重的危害，同時影響又極為廣泛，以台灣地狹人稠的狀況而言，空氣污染所造成的問題更是值得注意。此外，近年來所衍生的細懸浮微粒(PM_2.5)，使得空氣品質日漸惡化及嚴重。為使讀者瞭解空氣污染的相關現象、基本理論及控制方法，本書內有 12 章，包含空氣污染概述、氣狀及粒狀污染物的生成與控制、及全球環境問題。本書亦廣泛網羅本土相關空氣污染資訊及法令，以期讀者建立空氣污染及控制的專業知識。

Abstract

With the progress in science and technology, human living standards rise significantly. However, the environmental pollution also becomes a serious problem. Combustion plays an important role in human civilization and industrial development, but it also produces a large amount of air pollutants. In addition to combustion, some industrial processes and construction also give rise to air pollution. Air pollution has caused a negative effect on human health, animals, and plants. Air pollution is especially noteworthy in Taiwan, resulting from its high population and vehicle densities. In particular, PM_2.5 has seriously deteriorated air quality in recent years. With the aim of establishing readers’ air pollution knowledge and vision, this book includes twelve chapters, consisting of the introduction of air pollution, air quality and regulations, the formation mechanisms and control methods of gaseous pollutants and particulate matter, and the illustrations of global environment problems. Moreover, the current status and progress, information, and regulation of air pollution in Taiwan are also addressed.
