2026-2027 Study in Canada Scholarships (SiCS) - CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The 2026-2027 Study in Canada Scholarships is now open for applications.

2026–2027 Study in Canada Scholarships (SiCS) program is now open for applications.

The Study in Canada Scholarships (SiCS) program is a great opportunity for your students at the undergraduate and graduate levels to fund a short-term exchange for study or research at Polytechnique Montréal. It is also an interesting way to consolidate the collaboration between our two institutions and foster academic and research connections. 

The scholarship value varies depending on the duration and level of study:
  • $10,200 for 4 months or one academic term for study or research at the college of undergraduate level 
  • $10,200 for 4 months or one academic term for study or research at the graduate level (Master’s and PhD) 
  • $14,000 for 5 to 6 months for research at the graduate level (Master’s and PhD) 
To be eligible, candidates must be:
  • citizens of a country/territory listed below:
    • Asia: Bangladesh, Nepal, Taiwan
    • Europe: Türkiye, Ukraine
    • Middle East and North Africa: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia
    • Sub-Saharan Africa: Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda
  • enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in an eligible country/territory. 
  • paying tuition fees to that institution at the time of application and for the full duration of the scholarship program. 
APPLICATION PROCEDURE 

Step 1

FOR AN ACADEMIC STAY

  1. International Thematic Clusters in Engineering
    Study program in English. Available during the Fall term only, except for the Software and Computing Cluster, which is now offered in both the Fall and Winter terms. 
  2. Exchange Student Program (Étudiants en échange) 
    Study program in French. Offered in both the Fall and Winter terms.

FOR A RESEARCH STAY

  1. Research Internship Program (PDF): In English or French. Available all year. 

Applicants choosing Option A or Option B, must follow in parallel the nomination and application process of the selected mobility program  

  • Please make sure to nominate your students sufficiently early to comply with the deadline of the SiCS scholarship 
  • Questions related to these academic programs should be addressed to etudiant.echange@polymtl.ca

Applicants choosing the research Option C must identify a PolyMTL professor who agrees to supervise their internship 

  • Applicants are required to follow the procedure outlined in the link above. 
  • Questions related to the Research Internship can be addressed to point@polymtl.ca 

Step 2

All applicants, whether applying under Option A, B, or C, must submit the specific application form for the Study in Canada Scholarships program
