二十幾年來，本人負責成大機械系系史工作，整理保存從日治時期以來的紙質與非紙質文物，終於以圖錄方式出版。本圖錄包含兩冊：第一冊「經典永傳承」，內容包含233件的紙質文物，均經過清潔、掃描、建檔，並以無酸耗材包裝，完成整飭工作。第二冊「後甲展鴻鵠」，內容有教學實習設備、量測儀器、檜木桌櫃等，超過500件以上的非紙質文物。

這套圖錄所呈現的是本系從台南高等工業學校、台灣省立工學院迄今，所有師生使用過的文物，記錄著多年來教學、研究的歷史軌跡，以及本系在台灣工業教育的貢獻。

 Over twenty years ago, I took charge of the MED NCKU historical investigation and preserved many paper-cultural and non-paper-cultural artifacts starting from the Japanese Colonial Period. This volume contains two catalogs recording these collected artifacts. The first volume named “Classics Forever” contains 233 paper-cultural artifacts. All of these artifacts have been cleaned, scanned, electrical archived, packaged by using acid-free consumables, and preserved in the department. The second volume named “Great Aspirations from Hojia” records over 500 non-paper-cultural artifacts, including experimental equipment, measurement instruments, and Tainan Cypress furniture。

    All artifacts contained in this volume have been used by faculty and students of our department for more than 90 years, dated from Tainan Technical College, Taiwan Institute of Technology, to the present day. Its records the historical trajectory of teaching and research over the years, as well as the contributions of our department on the industrial education in Taiwan.
