Visiting India Universities to foster bilateral international exchange and collaboration in March 2023
The purpose of this trip is to visit six Indian universities with the objective of exploring possibilities for exchange programs and collaborations. We had the opportunity to visit six universities located in two major cities, Chennai and Kolkata from March 7-15, 2023. The delegates from NCKU and faculty members of the Indian universities shared their ongoing research works and the potential for exchange/collaboration. We also presented an overview of the educational excellence of NCKU to the Indian universities' students and faculties. Our discussions with SRMIST and Vidyasagar University were particularly extensive, as we focused on the prospects of bilateral international exchange and collaboration plans, such as teacher-student visits, student exchange, and dual degree programs. We are pleased to report that these two universities are likely to initiate student exchange programs in this academic year 2023. For the remaining four universities, we successfully established channels of communication and cooperation for future collaboration and various other possibilities. This report also provides an overview of the visit-ed universities, including their facilities, academic programs, and research interests. Furthermore, we have highlighted the key takeaways from the visit, including recommendations for future collaboration and exchange programs.
