　　本系戰後師資缺乏，除了留用日本人員之外，尚有本省籍教師、大陸來台之教授。馬教授是民國36年任教本校，前後59年(專任與兼任)，於2019年底辭世，享年105歲。本系在2020年七月舉辦追思會，希望有本著作讓參與的系友了解老師的過去，本人義不容辭，在短短的三個月完成本著作。馬老師教學非常認真，上課從不帶筆記而能侃侃而談，學生往往是滿座叫好。2013年，馬老師以近百歲之齡，獲得經濟部大學產業貢獻獎之終身成就獎。本書將馬老師從幼年，求學、就業、出國留學、回國南渡台灣後，對台灣教育界以及工業界的貢獻，娓娓道來，讓認識他或不認識他的讀者瞭解。

Biography of Professor Cheng-Chiu Ma

Abstract

     Because of lack of faculty members after World War Two, our department recruited Taiwanese teachers and professors from Mainland China except Japanese staffs. Professor Ma came to ME NCKU in 1947. He was a full time and a part time professor for 59 years. He passed away in 2019. In order to let the readers well understand his childhood, education, employment, studying abroad, moving to Taiwan, I collected references and finished this book within three months. Professor Ma had good memory. Without lecture notes he taught very hard and passionately. He was conferred Lifetime Achievement Award from Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2013.  For Education and Industry he had made great contribution in his career.
